Premier One SeriesAdded Thermal Performance

All Premier Exterior windows are made with the Intercept Spacer System. Developed by PPG, this superior thermal barrier separates the two glass panes in every Insulated Glass (I.G.) unit. Intercept's unique one-piece, tin plated steel U-channel design resists thermal transfer through your windows and provides added structural integrity to the entire system.

With a standard aluminum spacer, the seal is stressed during temperature changes causing the glass to bow. This can result in seal failure and even glass breakage. With Intercept, the U-shaped spacer flexes during thermal cycling. The steel U-shaped channel is thinner and thermally less conductive than traditional aluminum spacers. The Intercept System increases the edge-of-glass temperature, which decreases the risk of damaging condensation forming during winter months.

Standard Foam Insulation

Polyurethane foam insulation fills the interior chambers on the frame. This creates a framing system with an enhanced insulating value.

Premier One SeriesProven Performance from Intercept Insulated Glass

This thermograph or "heat picture" compares room side glass temperatures for an Intercept I.G. unit and a conventional I.G. unit. Yellow indicates warmer and blue indicates colder. Intercept I.G. glass temperatures are significantly higher, especially near the sash, resulting in higher comfort levels inside the home.
